Consolidating itunes libraries into one
Apps and media you purchase, along with any files imported to i Tunes and all your interactions are kept in a special folder on your computer.
To locate the i Tunes folder on your Mac, choose Go → Home → Music → i Tunes in the Finder menu.
Once you launch this piece of software, you will notice its easy-to-use and intuitive interface that can be managed by any user.
From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen, choose On the Advanced tab of i Tunes Preferences, you can choose where you store and how you organize your i Tunes media files.
To locate the i Tunes folder on Windows, go here: Should you elect to have your i Tunes Media folder organized, i Tunes will place song files into album and artist folders.
Individual files will adopt the file name format based on the disc number, track number and the song title.
We had two further libraries containing about 13,000 and 10,000 images each, and a fourth i Photo library on a separate machine, plus the aforementioned random grab-bag of directories full of images.(I didn't count how many these were, but they numbered in the thousands.) After consolidation we ended up with 33,000 images and movies in one i Photo library.
To group all of the songs in the same album, organize them manually.
